about

The company was born through the collaboration of Mark Lacey and Sinead Kirwan with Owen Gower on the award-winning film STILL THE ENEMY WITHIN. Since then they have been joined by award-winning director Chloë Fairweather. Its most recent production is HONG KONG:CITY ON FIRE, which was released nationwide in 2023 through Odeon Cinemas. The team also recently completed BURN ON ARRIVAL, a dark short thriller set in the Scottish Highlands starring Kate Dickie and James Harkness, that premiered at the Glasgow International Short Film Festival and has since been screened around the world, winning numerous awards.

In 2021 Sinéad Kirwan and Chloe Fairweather completed Dying to Divorce which after premiering at Hot Docs won a slew of awards including Best Feature at the Scottish Baftas and Best Breakthrough Film at the Welsh Baftas. In 2021 the film was selected as the UK Entry for Best International Feature to the Oscars.

The team love collaborating with directors and producers across the globe and understand the risks that some filmmakers must go through to get their stories out there, so if you have a politically sensitive story and you are looking for a Scottish Coproducer or Scottish support get in touch. If your story is politically sensitive, we recommend using ProtonMail and emailing enemyfilms @protonmail.com
